Saturday, Nov. 7, Is Project LeafDrop Day One
Last year, our NYC Council representatives cut the collection and compost of residential leaves out of the city’s budget.
So we – community gardeners, neighborhood associations, and concerned residents – are uniting to harvest and compost fallen leaves, and to document our efforts. We want to keep the compostables out of landfills and persuade the City Council and the Mayor to resinstate the Department of Sanitation’s compost project.
Join the LeafDrop party! Bring your leaves to these gardens on Saturday.
